Emma Watson’s tweet about leaked pictures x

I was watching news with my mom about this whole thing and she started on with the whole “why are they taking naked pictures” thing and I stopped her and said “wait, isn’t the real thing here why is everyone blaming the victim? whatever you feel about naked photos, no one should be hacked into and their privacy violated.”

…and then she got quiet.

This is potentially life saving information everyone should know.

No you guys this post helped me find my cat. He was missing for almost a month and I’ve had him for over 12 years. After seeing this I put his favorite blanket he always slept on outside hoping he would smell mine or his scent and he was back the next fucking day asleep on it.

When my cat got out, we called and called for him, and then, later that night, I remembered similar advice to this, and so put his little scratching pad, which he adores, on the front porch. Not even half an hour later, I heard a thump, opened the door, and there was his big butt, meowing at me.

Important and vital

Baltimore Police Claim Handcuffed Man [Tyree Woodson] Shot Himself in Jail

Read more » http://bit.ly/1qXcqsF

Either they think we are very stupid, or know they won’t be held accountable - either way, this is some serious BS!

This is not the first time either.

They claimed a handcuffed kid who was left handed shot himself in the head from the right in FL.

At this point, I don’t even think they think we’re stupid. They just don’t CARE. They have proven over and over again they can get away with this shit. They don’t NEED to come up with plausible evidence. They go on unpaid leave and go back to terrorizing Black communities.

Another similar situation occurred this year in Louisiana, when 22-year-old Victor White, III was killed with a gun in the back of a police car while handcuffed, that case too was ruled a suicide, even though he was shot in the back.”

Yup…

Frida Kahlo 1920 - 2014

STOP THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT
This is not the first thing I should see when I go on the Friday Kahlo tag
Ugh
Ugh
Ugh
Frida Kahlo was one of the strongest most influential women to ever exist in Mexico and the world as a whole
How dare you
How fucking dare you
No
You do not take one of my few latina feminist role models and taint her with your patriarchal western society view of beauty
Fuck you
As a Mexican female who is hoping to make an impact on the world through the arts, finding such a strong feminist role model who I can connect to because of cultural backgrounds is hard enough to find
How dare you do this shit

Reblogging for the pic… Not the commentary lmao

Massachusetts State Police Issue Apology for “Racial Profiling Saves Lives” Bumper Sticker, But Not Before Lying About It

Massachusetts State Police issued an apology Monday for a bumper sticker on one of their police cruisers that read: “Racial Profiling Saves Lives,” but not before lying about it.

Boston resident Chris Kantos, was walking Sunday morning and came across on official police cruiser, number 1183, and noticed an odd bumper sticker on it.

Kantos tweeted this image out immediately.

Instead of apologizing immediately, Boston PD removed the sticker and published a second image of the cruiser with no bumper sticker. Then accused Kantos of photoshopping the image.

“Why on earth would I photoshop something like that?” Kantos asked on Twitter.

Don't you think the term "POC" is racist? I mean, they lump non white people in a group, erasing their cultures and individualities.

reverseracism:

It’s an umbrella term that’s only racist on tumblr because it’s associated with evil social justice warriors by people who only noticed the terms use when they got onto tumblr. “People of Color” has been around for a long time, it’s modern use has been around for decades.

It’s mind-boggling because I hear how bad it is to use umbrella terms like people of color from these people, and how it’s erasure, but I don’t see them referring to individuals any time soon. Here you have people using umbrella terms that lumps non white people together that no one has a problem with including the blacks, minorities, and non-white, what you’re using right now anon while trying to say that people of color is racist.

Here’s the run down and explanations on the term:

At the end of the day, the term is a political identity meant to deal with U.S. racial politics.

Philadelphia Newspaper Calls Asians “Chinky Winky” and “Dinky Doo”

Publisher Jimmy Tayoun says it’s a “proofreading error.”

In the August 21st print edition of the Philadelphia Public Record, the free weekly tabloid published by former Philadelphia City Councilman turned federal inmate Jimmy Tayoun Sr., current Philadelphia City Councilman Mark Squilla is pictured at an event in Chinatown with, among others, “Chinky Winky,” “Me Too,” and “Dinky Doo.”

  • “It was a proofreading error,” Tayoun told Philadelphia magazine on Friday afternoon. According to Tayoun, the editor who used those names did so because he didn’t have the actual names. When we pointed out to Tayoun that there were actually more names than there were people, he reiterated, “It was a proofreading error.” And when we asked why the editor didn’t use a generic placeholder instead of an ethnic slur, he insisted that there’s no prejudice or bigotry involved here.

"That editor is a Britisher," Tayoun explained, puzzlingly. "He didn’t mean anything by it. The Public Record is the most inclusive publication in Philadelphia.”

[…]

"It was a proofreading error." Yes, you just keep repeating that. I guess he means it’s like a spelling or grammar error, but the editor forgot catch all the racist shit before it went to print. Don’t you hate it when that happens?
